Off The Deep End

 

Off The Deep End is Al's 7th album. It was released in April 1992. It features a parody of Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirt" into Al's version, "Smells Like Nirvana." Off The Deep End has two music videos they are: Smells Like Nirvana and You Don't Love Me Anymore. You Don't Love Me Anymore is an original, but the video was a parody. At the end of You Don't Love Me Anymore, there is Al screaming, and making weird noises for absolutly no reason. This album went GOLD PLATINUM in the US, and GOLD PLATINUM in Canada. This album was also nominated for a Grammy:Best Comedy Recording 1992. Off The Deep End peaked at number 17 on the Billboard Charts. Smells Like Nirvana peaked at number 35 on the Billboard Charts. The song "Smells Like Nirvana" recieved many awards in magazines and other things like: Spy Magazine's "Video Of The Year" 1993, Rolling Stone's #68 Video on their list of the Top 100 Videos of All Time, MTV Video Music Awards, Best Male Performance Nomination 1992.
