Dare To Be Stupid

 

Dare To Be Stupid was released in June 1985. This album features a parody of Madonna's "Like A Virgin" into "Weird Al's" version "Like A Surgeon." The story behind "Like A Surgeon" is one day Madonna was walking down the street and just said "I wonder if "Weird Al" is going to do "Like a Surgeon." The word got out to Al and he thought it was a good idea.  There are four music vidoes on this album, they are: "Like A Surgeon," "Dare To Be Stupid," "One More Minute" and "This Is The Life." This album went platinum in the US. Dare To Be Stupid was nominated  for a Grammy (Best Comedy Recording 1985.) The album Dare To Be Stupid peaked at number 50 on the Billboard Charts. "Like A Surgeon" peaked at number 47 on the Billboard Charts. Here are the songs on this album:
